But I knew I just wanted something delicious…not fancy! We knew an older lady from our church who baked delicious cakes…in fact, the only cakes my husband really even likes. So we just had a simple tiered cake with delicious vanilla icing (this woman’s vanilla icing is decidedly NOT boring…very creamy & vanilla-y) and decorated the tiers of the cake with beautiful fresh flowers that mimicked those in my bridesmaids’ bouquets. It was simple, and perfect!
