Wow, I’d been looking for some Smarties cake ideas to make for a colleague who is leaving us at the end of the week. He loves Smarties so this is just the thing – I’ll have to dress it down a little though!

And I think I’ll probably go for a chocolate icing base rather than the vanilla [?] base in the pic. As Mae West said, “Too much of a good thing can be wonderful.”

I am from Germay and I grew up with smarties. Wow, what an awesome looking cake!
I just went to the store to get a whole bunch of Smarties and I will definately try to make this cake. Thank you for sharing

In Canada the all sugar “smarties” are called Rockets.
I was actually really confused at first trying to think of all sugar smarties! hahaha

Thanks for posting this picture though, I’m using it as inspiration for my daughters first birthday cake, same Idea, but 3 tiers and taking out the brown and pink smarties. hahah
