This event is planned from 3-6 p.m. at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Attendees can meet with representatives from Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney Floral and Gifts, and more.

And to add a little magic to the event, attendees can also add on one of two special events to their reservation: a Happily Ever After Dessert Party at the Contemporary or a culinary cooking adventure also at the Contemporary.

The base price for the Wedding Showcase is $45 per person. With the Dessert Party added on the price is $95 per person, and the culinary adventure add on raises the price to $250 per person.

Reservations can be made online.

And, if you’re a Disney Vacation Club member you can receive a complimentary pair of Mickey or Minnie ears at the event.

Have you ever dreamed of a magical wedding at the Magic Kingdom – after the park closes?

Well, dream no more!

Starting in January 2017 you can actually get married in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom after the park has closed for the night! And, that’s not all – you and 300 of your friends and family members can celebrate at your reception in Fantasyland.

So, what’s the catch? How about the price tag that starts at $180,000? Yeah, that’s kind of a bummer. But it IS fun to dream!

This new Magic Kingdom Park After-Hours experience was recently announced by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons and is only available as part of the Wishes Collection.

Couples can customize their Magic Kingdom wedding, including things like a ride in Cinderella’s Carriage up Main Street U.S.A.

Disney’s Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoons does have other options for a magical wedding at the Walt Disney World Resort, including daytime ceremonies at the Magic Kingdom, the Wedding Pavilion, and even the Canada Pavilion in Epcot.

I know, it would make more sense to find a beach-y wedding cake, but let’s stick with the snow for today.

In my search for that perfect snowy wedding cake I stopped by Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons site and found this stunning cake!

This four-tier cake sparkles like a fresh blanket of snow and is adorned with beautiful white snowflakes in every shape and size – which makes it perfect for your winter wedding! And there’s even a Mickey Mouse-shaped snowflake somewhere on the cake.

Even if you don’t like snow, you have to admit this is one stunner of a cake!

We found this wintry wedding cake over at the Ever After Blog at Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons! And the photo is from White Rabbit Photo Boutique.

My favorite aspect of this cake – the purple flowers. Sure there are also some pastel pink flowers in there but I am in love with the lilac roses!

I love wedding cakes with fresh flowers and when those flowers are roses I love it more. But when they’re purple (and pink) roses? It’s all over. I think this could be my new favorite wedding cake.

But let’s look past the beautiful roses in between the layers and let’s talk about the cakes. See those delicate “polka dots”? Well, look closer. Disney fans will recognize that the polka dots are actually tiny hidden Mickeys.

And each tier is accented by very sparkly rings around the bottom of the tiers. Add in that super sparkly monogram cake topper and you have the perfect cake for any season.

You could change the rose color to deep reds for winter, but I’m still a fan of the pastel hues. They could work in any season.

Now, one doesn’t usually think “technology” when talking about wedding cakes, but leave it to Disney to combine the two.

They’re calling is “Wedding Projection Cake Mapping” and basically it uses the same projection technology that Disney uses at Walt Disney World and Disneyland for the “projection shows” on Cinderella Castle and it’s a small world.

But instead of projecting images on a building they are projecting the images onto your wedding cake! The wedding cake itself features a “blank canvas” of white icing, but couples are still able to personalize the inside flavors of the cake.

Couples who wish to have “Cake Mapping” added to their wedding cake need to book their wedding at the Walt Disney World Resort and choose the “Wishes Collection” wedding.

So why not celebrate with a cake fit for a princess?

A cake exactly like this Pumpkin Carriage Cake from our friends at Hockley’s Cakes over in the United Kingdom.

I don’t know about you, but Cinderella is my favorite princess and this cake is perfect if you’re thinking about a wedding with that sort of theme or if you’re a fan of Disney princesses.

Michael Hockley says “once in a blue moon a bride wants a carriage for a wedding and this is when they tend to order this cake.”

To create the “pumpkin carriage” look, the cakes are shaped and carved into the pumpkin shape and then covered in roll-out icing. And of course no pumpkin carriage is complete with a couple of magical sugar mice!

I’m not sure if it’s because I love roses or because there are so many colors and varieties and they all look stunning on a wedding cake.

But whatever the reason, if there is a cake with roses I’m going to swoon.

And that’s exactly what happened when I saw this beauty over on the “Ever After Blog” on  Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons website.

I swooned. I really, truly love this cake.

For starters the icing is that stark white icing that lends itself to so many decorating options. I am a huge fan of cakes that feature a smooth and bright white palette.

And then we have the roses. This cake was featured at a wedding in Hawaii at Aulain, A Disney Resort & Spa, so they are Hawaiian roses. The colors are so bright and cheerful and they make the icing pop!

To add a little bit of green to the cake the bride and groom chose to use succulents as an accent and they’re a perfect combination with the bright colored roses.

Even if you aren’t getting married in paradise, roses and succulents are a great color combination. I am imagining a cake with black magic roses (deep red) and succulents at a fall wedding. Or bright pink roses and succulents at your spring wedding.

It’s a winning combination no matter what time of year.

This castle with feathers cake is another creation from our friends across the pond – Hockleys Cakes. And honestly, it might be my favorite cake of theirs to date.

I am a huge fan of all things “princess-y” and so this cake with its castle turrets and elegant castle gate is something I would have loved at my own wedding.

Michael Hockley said this cake was the first time Hockleys created a cake for a wedding that was completely themed around a fairy tale. The wedding’s venue was decorated so that everyone felt as if they were inside a fairy tale, and I bet this cake was the perfect centerpiece for that romantic world!

I love the elegance and simplicity of this cake – with just three tiers and lovely, sparkly icing it is the epitome of fairy tale romance. Of course the feathers around the top and bottom tiers are the perfect finishing touch.

If you’re a fan of romance and fairy tales and all things sparkly, I’m going to be that you love this cake as much as I do!

This amazing three-tier novelty wedding cake is a creation from Hockleys Cakes located in the United Kingdom.

They are specialists in the wedding cake biz across the pond and I am loving their designs and can’t wait to feature more in the weeks to come.

But right now let’s talk about this Nemo wedding cake because it’s just amazing!

This novelty wedding cake features an undersea scene complete with Nemo, Crush the totally cool sea turtle, and of course the bride and groom are sitting atop the cake under a palm tree. I think I even spy Sebastian hanging out by the coral in the middle tier!

Michael Hockley said the bride and groom for this cake were “avid” Finding Nemo fans, and the top tier of the cake reflected their honeymoon destination! How romantic!

If this cake doesn’t make you long for a beach wedding, I don’t know what will.

The details on the cake are exquisite and everything is hand-crafted from sugar – which just adds to the incredible-ness of the cake.

Wouldn’t you love to see this cake at your beach-themed wedding? And of course, it would be so much fun for the Disney loving bride out there!

We're through a tumultuous Election Day and today, we celebrate our veterans.  A whole lotta flag waving going on this week, yes?

And I've been all over the map with my cake love this week.  In fact, there was one day that I said.  Yep, nope, I'm good.  No cake today.  Even I feel like going on a sweets strike occasionally.  But I usually snap out of it pretty quickly.

It's a beautiful day here in the southeast, and I have birthdays and holidays to conquer (not to mention a tea to plan), so let's get to it, shall we?  I think I'll skip the review this week and go straight for the Sweet and Pretty.

Smack dab in the middle of these two days that celebrate our rights and freedom, I wanted to show you this fun vote that Half Baked held on their Facebook page: readers voted for their favorite patriotic cake.  Which is your favorite?

Kara Buntin at A Cake to Remember asks if we've made food plans for the upcoming holidays yet (that would be a nope  on my part).  But even more happily, she shares an amazing-sounding chocolate cookie recipe.  Pretty sure I have all the ingredients right now…
