This event is planned from 3-6 p.m. at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Attendees can meet with representatives from Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney Floral and Gifts, and more.

And to add a little magic to the event, attendees can also add on one of two special events to their reservation: a Happily Ever After Dessert Party at the Contemporary or a culinary cooking adventure also at the Contemporary.

The base price for the Wedding Showcase is $45 per person. With the Dessert Party added on the price is $95 per person, and the culinary adventure add on raises the price to $250 per person.

Why do I love Thanksgiving so much? I could say “food” but in truth I love the pies for dessert.

I wait all year for a slice of pecan pie and a slice of pumpkin pie – both topped with crazy amounts of whipped cream.

As much as I love cake, I might love pie more.

Which is why we’re talking about wedding pie today instead of wedding cake.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a wedding pie table – full of every one of your favorite pies.

My table would include pecan, pumpkin, apple (using my grandma’s recipe), blueberry with wild Michigan blueberries, and cherry. And OK, maybe a chocolate peanut butter pie too.

Think about how much fun it would be to offer your guests pie instead of cake! Of course, you could still have a small cake to cut for the newlyweds. Or you could have a special pie just for the two of you.

Have you ever dreamed of a magical wedding at the Magic Kingdom – after the park closes?

Well, dream no more!

Starting in January 2017 you can actually get married in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom after the park has closed for the night! And, that’s not all – you and 300 of your friends and family members can celebrate at your reception in Fantasyland.

So, what’s the catch? How about the price tag that starts at $180,000? Yeah, that’s kind of a bummer. But it IS fun to dream!

This new Magic Kingdom Park After-Hours experience was recently announced by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons and is only available as part of the Wishes Collection.

Couples can customize their Magic Kingdom wedding, including things like a ride in Cinderella’s Carriage up Main Street U.S.A.

Disney’s Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoons does have other options for a magical wedding at the Walt Disney World Resort, including daytime ceremonies at the Magic Kingdom, the Wedding Pavilion, and even the Canada Pavilion in Epcot.

But since that’s never happened (and likely never will) I’ve found the next best thing with this adorable Message in a Bottle wedding favors.

These small bottles with corks would be the perfect wedding favor for your summer, beach-themed, or even destination wedding.

There are so many options with these favors – you and your significant other could write a message to guests and place them in the bottle, or you could encourage your guests to leave you a message!

Imagine how fun that would be to collect all the messages at the end of the reception – you’d have an incredible keepsake from your wedding day! And the guests could take the bottles with them, maybe filled with sand from the wedding location.

So, when I saw today’s wedding cake I just knew I had to share it with you because it looks delicious and it would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding.

This two-tier blackberry wedding cake is absolutely stunning thanks to the blackberries surrounding each tier.

The icing is also infused with crushed blackberries, giving it that gorgeous swirled look.

You could have any kind of cake inside, but I think something not-too-sweet would be best.

And of course, if blackberries aren’t your favorite, raspberries would be incredible on this cake and so would blueberries. Oh just imagine a lemon based cake and a light lemon icing infused with blueberries.

Oh that would be divine!

And to celebrate (a day late) I just had to find another pancake wedding cake to share with you.

I love the idea of a non-traditional wedding cake, especially if you’re hosting a smaller brunch reception (or even a breakfast reception). While I love wedding cake as much as the next person, not everyone wants to eat cake for brunch.

So why not considering a pancake wedding cake – maybe just for the bride and groom – and then offer guests a choice of assorted breakfast treats like doughnuts?

This is such a fun and creative idea and there are so many ways you can serve a pancake wedding cake. You could even have your baker whip up a crepe wedding cake!

As much as I love wedding cake (actually all cake), sometimes it’s nice to color outside the lines and do something unexpected.

Like serving miniature pies instead of wedding cake.

Now that’s a dessert trend I can get behind.

Everyone goes to wedding receptions prepared to eat a slice of cake but what if you wowed your guests instead with cute and delicious miniature pies? That would be an amazing reception!

And, you could even “personalize” the pies to the season – fruit pies in the spring, apple pies in the summer, pumpkin and pecan pies in the fall, and so on. Your guests will absolutely love these mini pies.

Of course it might be hard to share a “first bite of pie” with your new spouse, so you could always have a small wedding cake to slice just for the two of you!

It’s a chocolate chip wedding cake. Not a cake made to taste like a chocolate chip cookie, but a tower full of chocolate chip cookies made to look like a wedding cake.

It’s brilliant.

Earlier this year I shared the Oreo cookie wedding cake and at the time I thought nothing could be better than that! This chocolate chip wedding cake tower might give that Oreo cake a run for its (milk) money.

This chocolate chip tower would be so fun at any wedding reception – and if you wanted to have a “traditional” cake you could still do that too. But imagine how much fun it would be for your guests to enjoy chocolate chip cookies and a glass of ice cold milk!

And if you’re having a nautical wedding at sea, you’ll want to give your guests something fun as a favor. (Other than inviting them on your wedding/honeymoon cruise, of course).

I think these “boat wheel” magnets would be the perfect wedding favor for your reception at sea.

When your guests get home they can stick the magnets on their fridge and use them to hold up their favorite cruise photos. Every time they look at their pictures they’ll be reminded of your wedding and their fabulous vacation.
