Did you ever see a wedding cake, and think, “Stop.  This is the one.  The rest of the cakes can just go home.”

This is such a cake.

I spied this cake in a beautiful photojournal of a Southern California wedding, held at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California.  The wedding and reception were both heldoutdoors, and the post-ceremony celebration featured candlelight and chandeliers suspended from the trees!  The palette of the day featured stunning, muted, cool colors.  The lovely cake, done up in pale pink flawless fondant, and trimmed with a dotted swag design, is displayed beautifully on an antique silver cakestand. (Click on the picture to enlarge it, so that you can see the beautiful detail.)
