Sometimes an out-of-the-ordinary wedding cake is just what you’re looking for.

This would be that cake.

I’m starting to become a fan of all things chalkboard – and I’m not sure if it’s because it reminds me of writing on the chalkboard when I was in school (yes, I’m that old!) or if it’s because I secretly like “shabby chic” things.

Either way, I’m a fan of this chalkboard inspired wedding cake from Artisan Cake Company.

It’s so unique and it would be so lovely at a reception, no matter what the season. Although I think it would be perfect at an outdoor wedding with a rustic vibe.

The three-tiered cake really looks like it was decorated with chalk and the floral design is simply gorgeous.

Your guests would be ooh-ing and ahh-ing over this cake.
