It’s finally here! Today is the first official day of fall.

And despite the on-going warmer temperatures, the leaves are starting to change and the nights are getting cooler.

Which means it’s time to talk about wedding cakes that are inspired by fall – especially those inspired by fall colors.

Just like today’s wedding cake.

I loved this cake as soon as I saw it. And that might be because the colors remind me of my own wedding cake.

I love the dark red hues of the flowers on this cake – they are very reminiscent of the Black Magic Roses I used in my own wedding!

This stark white cake is elegant on its own thanks to the textured buttercream icing but when you add the dark red calla lilies, dahlias, and roses it takes it to the next level.

This cake would be lovely at an early fall wedding but it would also be stunning at a winter wedding. The colors are just perfect.
