Classic White Wedding Cake with Chocolate Scrollwork
Here is something I love. Taking a classic cake and giving it a little bit of pizazz! I love how this cake is a simple four tiered round cake with a gorgeous slate blue sash around the base of each tier. Beautiful and classic yes?
Oh wait: let’s throw on a gorgeous dark brown (I’m assuming chocolate which… Hello!…makes this even better) design on each base. This is something I have seen done before..but usually on dark cakes (I’m thinking a red or green cake), and the design is typically in white. Flipping it around to a light backdrop and a dark design makes it look a little more modern and fresh. The tempered chocolate scrollwork was most likely done free hand on acetate, and mounted on the cake. And we’re guessing, just for good measure, that the ribbon is actually made of sugar.
Just wow.
