Happy Labor Day Weekend, Everyone!

Whether this post finds you at the beach…or at a parade…or at a barbecue…I truly hope that you’re enjoying summer’s last hurrah. We are trying to do just that as well…so with all due respect, I’m NOT going to wax poetic like I usually do. We’re going to head straight to the point this week! Woot! So onto the News:

I cried a little this week when I heard this news…I once had dreams of sweeping down the aisle in a Priscilla dress. Priscilla’s of Boston is being closed by its owner, David’s Bridal. The egregious part? David’s Bridal says the move comes to make way for more David’s Bridal expansion.

Lauren Bush, niece to George W. and granddaughter to George H. W., will marry David Lauren, son of fashion designer Ralph Lauren. Official reports say that George and Barbara will not be attending.

Guitarist Slash and his wife Perla Ferrar renewed their wedding vows earlier this week, when they reunited after announcing their split last year. Perla wore the same dress that she wore to marry the rocker in 2001.

Alaska has a brand new growth crop: peonies for weddings!

You’ve seen Erica O’Brien’s beautiful creations here lots…’cause we love the stuff she does. Well, Erica is moving from California back east to Connecticut…and here’s the sweet blog telling of some of the folks she’ll miss the most.
