What is the one food everyone loves in the summer? That would be ice cream.

It's the go-to treat that cool and creamy and sweet. And what is the best thing to eat with cake? Ice cream!

Which is why I think having an ice cream bar at your wedding is pure genius.

You can set up the ice cream station with several ice cream flavors, some great sauces like hot fudge and caramel, and then toppings such as candy, crushed cookies, nuts, and sprinkles. Your guests can pick and choose their flavors and toppings – and if you can find someone to play the “ice cream man” that would be super cute.

And you could give guests a choice of cones or cups so they have the option to eat their ice cream at the wedding or take it home for a late-night snack.

The ice cream bar is really a great idea – it's fun and festive and something people don't expect at a wedding. People will be talking about your reception for a long time if you give them ice cream and cake!
