Whoopie Pie Wedding Cake Tower

I’m always on the lookout for non-traditional wedding cakes. I love the idea of serving something that isn’t cake like pancakes, rice krispie treats, or even doughnuts.

Right now there’s a fun fad in the world of desserts – whoopie pies! They’re a classic old school dessert and they’re also what makes up today’s featured wedding cake.

Whoopie pies are made up of two cake-like cookies with decadent icing in between and they’re glorious.

Today’s cake is a tower of pink and white whoopie pies and it’s stunning. Your guests will not be expecting this as a wedding cake – which adds to the fun!

Of course you could kick up the fun a few notches with different colors or flavors – I’d love to see chocolate and vanilla whoopie pies for a black and white theme. Or maybe all chocolate with fall-inspired icing colors for a fall wedding.
