I love when I find a cake that is like nothing else I’ve never seen before. After awhile all cakes start to resemble one another and I like to throw in an eclectic cake just to keep it interesting.
The originality in this cake comes with the coloring. I cannot remember posting a green and yellow cake on AWCB before…until now. The design is sweet and simple. A classic three-tiered round cake covered with yellow green grellow fondant. (It’s so greenish yellow that I am going to just combine them to make life easier.) Then the cake is decorated with strips of pale green fondant in vertical lines on the bottom tier. The middle tier has sweet fondant polka dots and the top tier has thin angled stripes. I also love the collage in the background. My best friend did this at her wedding and it was the hit of the wedding. This cake is fun and funky with its design but the muted colors and simple shape keep it classy. What do you think??
