The weather has finally turned a corner for the better and that means warm summer temperatures are coming soon!

I’m a fan of fun and whimsical cake toppers.
So when I saw these Kokeshi Figurine toppers I just had to share them!
The figures are inspired by traditional Japanese Kokeshi hand-painted wooden dolls and they are so adorable!
The bride and groom figures are available in four styles and ethnicities so you’ll be able to find the pair that best suits the happy couple.
The figures are about 4 inches tall so they’ll fit on just about every cake and add a bit of fun flair to your big day.
A word of caution to the budget-conscious couple – these cake toppers aren’t cheap. A set (2 figures) will cost close to $70. And the bases are an additional charge.
But they’re so cute … how can you resist?
You’ll find these cake toppers here.

This is the perfect time of year to include fresh flowers on your wedding cake. It’s one of my favorite trends when it comes to adding pops of color to cakes.
Today’s cake features peach roses and zinnias – which gives the cake a lovely pastel look, perfect for spring or early summer. If you aren’t a fan of peach roses you could always pick another hue. Read More
There’s something about a wedding cake decorated with sprinkles that I’m loving this spring!
I don’t know if it is the whimsical nature of the sprinkles or the fact that it’s a fun way to add some rainbows to your big day but I really love this trend.
If you’re going to use sprinkles on your wedding cake you can either go big – and decorate the entire cake with sprinkles – or go more subtle, like today’s cake. Read More

I prefer my wedding cakes to have a lot of icing. After all, is a cake really a cake without icing?
But sometimes I find a “naked” wedding cake (sans icing) that really intrigues me.
Take for example today’s nearly naked caked that is adorned with some colorful and whimsical sprinkles. Read More
