Roses and Succulents Wedding Cake
I absolutely love roses on wedding cakes.
I’m not sure if it’s because I love roses or because there are so many colors and varieties and they all look stunning on a wedding cake.
But whatever the reason, if there is a cake with roses I’m going to swoon. Read More
Fun Wedding Favors – Almond Baskets
If there’s one wedding favor that I absolutely love it’s Jordan Almonds. They’re sweet and crunchy and I can never eat just one or two.
And since we’re getting closer to Easter basket season when we fill cute baskets full of sweet goodies, I couldn’t resist sharing these super cute mini baskets.
You can find mini baskets like these at most craft stores, and we even found some cute woven baskets here. I love the idea of lining the baskets with colorful paper liners (think cupcake liners). Read More
Jelly Bean Wedding Cake
It’s that time of year again – the store aisles are full of so many kinds of jelly beans, it’s hard to choose a favorite!
Personally I’m a fan of the “traditional” jelly beans (minus the licorice flavored beans). But I never thought about embellishing a wedding cake with jelly beans. Until now.
How fun is this “jelly bean wedding cake”? I don’t know about you, but I smiled as soon as I saw this cake.
It’s just so cute and fun and whimsical – three things that mean you can’t pass up this cake. Read More
Woodland Wedding Cake
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that spring really is here to stay as we inch closer to April.
With that in mind, I wanted to find a wedding cake that was all about nature and spring-like things. I think this “woodland” wedding cake is that cake.
Our friends at Hockleys Cakes created this one-of-a-kind wedding cake for a bride and groom who “love everything woodland.” I am in awe just looking at this cake and taking in all the incredible details.
The cake itself features three tiers – each a different flavor. I love wedding cakes that have a different flavor in each tier, so in my book this cake is already awesome. Read More
Fun Wedding Favors – Mini Garden Shovels
Perhaps at first glance you’re thinking “why would I want to give my guests a garden shovel as a favor?”
And I’ll admit that was my first reaction too. But then I thought about the novelty of this favor and how many ways you could make it a really fun (and useful) gift for your guests…and I had to change my mind. Read More
Wedding Cake with Sugar Bubbles
Bubbles are one of my favorite things.
They’re fun and whimsical and oh so bubbly! And you can’t help but smile when you think of bubbles. Even the word itself is funny. Say it with me – bubbles!
Which bring us to today’s wedding cake that is surrounded by bubbles.
The wedding cake itself is simple enough – iced with a lovely buttercream icing. But what makes it really incredible is the sea of bubbles that surround the bottom of the cake. It’s almost as though the cake is floating on the bubbles. Read More
Wedding Cake with Sugar Flowers
Spring is in the air!
Yes, it’s true! The first day of spring is this tomorrow and therefore I’m focusing on all things pretty and floral and springy.
Just like this beautiful wedding cake adorned with balls of flowers.
This gorgeous contemporary wedding cake – called the ‘Marlborough’ – is another incredible creation from our friends at Hockleys Cakes in the United Kingdom.
I am in love with this cake. It’s so pretty and delicate and just downright gorgeous that I can’t imagine wanting to cut into it, no matter how delicious it is! Read More
Wedding Cake with Green Ribbon and Daisies
It isn’t easy being green, especially when it comes to wedding cakes.
But since we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day today, I wanted to find a cake that had a little bit o’ green in its design.
I think this cake with the green ribbons and cheery daisies is perfect. The green isn’t too overpowering, and the daisies are such a fun flower that you just feel happier looking at them. Read More
