When this photo popped up on flickr today I almost fell out of my chair. Just LOOK how gorgeous it is. The flickr page gave me little info so I knew I had to go digging…and digging I went.

I love a sale. Especially an online sale. For some reason I can just whip out my PayPal account information and I feel like I am back in 1989 playing my favorite game of Mall Madness…buying up stuff virtually and only now a week later it shows up on my door. Oh yes. We are going there. I was recently having a conversation with a friend of mine about this blog. He was asking me what the point of blogging about cake was. He didn’t get it.

I had to explain that a wedding cake isn’t just something you see, it’s something you taste. If you go to a wedding and their cake is disgusting, you remember. If you go to a wedding and their cake is awesome, you remember. There have been more times than I’d like to count that I take a look at a gorgeous wedding cake and I cannot wait to dive in. Kim Kardashian’s Engagement Party Cake

So this wasn’t the post I intended for today but on my daily visit to all my Disney, Wedding Cake and Hollywood Gossip Blogs I saw one common theme. Ms. Kim Kardashian’s Cinderella inspired Engagement Party Cake that was reportedly made by Hansen’s Cakes in Los Angeles. The same bakery that Tori Spelling buys all her cakes from as well. I guess if you are a reality television star you buy your cakes here. The edible part of this cake is the hill with the castle topper. I have a love of all things Disney. Especially Cinderella. I would love to see a Cinderella wedding done Kim Kardashian style. Wouldn’t you?

According to her sister Khloe (who posted the picture of her gorgeous cake on her blog) the family gathered together for a “normal family dinner” and Kim walked in and announced her engagement. I know all of my “normal family dinners” include live ponies. Don’t yours?
