I am a huge fan of all things purple. I think the color is vibrant and cheerful and it’s also the color of royalty according to some sources, so it has that going for it.
But as much as I love purple I had not found many cakes featuring the color until now.

Every February I flirt with the idea of picking pink as a favorite color.
Maybe I’m inspired by all of the hearts and flowers that abound at this time of year. Or maybe it’s because I secretly really like pink just a little bit more than I’m willing to admit.

On my first day of graduate school I didn’t know a soul. By the end of the day I had two brand new friends and a date for sushi later in the week.
