Wedding Cake with Sugar Bubbles
Bubbles are one of my favorite things.
They’re fun and whimsical and oh so bubbly! And you can’t help but smile when you think of bubbles. Even the word itself is funny. Say it with me – bubbles!
Which bring us to today’s wedding cake that is surrounded by bubbles.
The wedding cake itself is simple enough – iced with a lovely buttercream icing. But what makes it really incredible is the sea of bubbles that surround the bottom of the cake. It’s almost as though the cake is floating on the bubbles. Read More
Wedding Cake with Sugar Flowers
Spring is in the air!
Yes, it’s true! The first day of spring is this tomorrow and therefore I’m focusing on all things pretty and floral and springy.
Just like this beautiful wedding cake adorned with balls of flowers.
This gorgeous contemporary wedding cake – called the ‘Marlborough’ – is another incredible creation from our friends at Hockleys Cakes in the United Kingdom.
I am in love with this cake. It’s so pretty and delicate and just downright gorgeous that I can’t imagine wanting to cut into it, no matter how delicious it is! Read More
Yellow Wedding Cake with Meringue Flowers
Spring is finally in the air! Can you feel it? I certainly can.
And that’s why today I’m featuring a lovely yellow cake – because it reminds me of sunshine and spring and it has a warm and sunny feel to it.
Don’t you just love this gorgeous confection?
I’m not a huge fan of yellow, but this cake is subtle enough that the yellow icing isn’t garish or overly-bright.
It’s pretty and delicate and warm. Read More
White Wedding Cake with Purple Flowers
I am a huge fan of all things purple. I think the color is vibrant and cheerful and it’s also the color of royalty according to some sources, so it has that going for it.
But as much as I love purple I had not found many cakes featuring the color until now.
And I have to tell you, I’m loving this cake and its understated elegance.
The cake itself is simple and pretty with the square tiers (such a fan of this shape!) and smooth white icing. But the ribbon around each tier takes the cake to another level of beauty, adding to the clean lines of the design. Read More
Fun Wedding Favors – Bride and Groom Peeps
This might be the cutest – and most fun – wedding favor in all of history.
I give you bride and groom Peeps.
I’ve shared edible “bride and groom” favors before, including marshmallows “dressed” as the married duo and pretzel rods in their best bride and groom attire.
But these Peeps? I have to say these take the cake. Read More
Wedding Cake with Crystal Butterflies
Despite the winter wonderland outside my window, I have decided it’s time to embrace all things spring in the hope that there’s a thaw on the way and we’ll see green grass again sometime soon.
As part of this ‘let’s think spring’ movement, I had to find a spring-y wedding cake to share today, and I think I found it!
This lovely light green cake is perfect for a spring wedding! Read More
Strawberry Wedding Cake
As I continue to dream about warmer weather, today I’m sharing a strawberry wedding cake with you.
Of course we all know that strawberries are a summer fruit – if you’re from the northern half of the country, at least – but it’s never too early to start thinking about your summer wedding.
I love the whimsy and simple charm of this cake. It makes me happy just looking at it. Read More
Primrose Wedding Cake
The weather outside might be frightful, but this cake is so delightful.
Yes, we might have just “celebrated” the first full day of winter, but that just means that we have a mere 86 days until the first day of spring, so I think right now is the perfect time to start daydreaming about lovely springy flowers.
And so, I give you the primrose wedding cake.
This gorgeous four-tier cake looks like it has a garden of flowers blooming around each tier. Read More
Daisy Wedding Cake
I absolutely love daisies – they're such a cheerful flower! And as soon as I saw this cake, I fell in love with it because it's so cute and whimsical.
This cake would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding, especially if your color palette included pastels. I love that the flowers aren't just light pinks and purples, but also include the bright yellow, green, and blue. Those really makes the cake pop with color.
Imagine how amazing this cake would look at an outdoor wedding! And since daisies are the world's happiest flowers, you can't help but smile when you see it.
