Rose Wedding Cake
Sometimes the simplest wedding cakes are the ones that stop you in your tracks.
That just about sums up today’s wedding cake. It’s pretty. And simple. And elegant.
And it is adorned by one very lovely rose but it doesn’t need anything else.
I love wedding cakes with fresh flowers – and usually that means a lot of fresh flowers. Read More
White Wedding Cake with Flowers
There’s something to be said for a traditional white wedding cake.
While I do love the non-traditional, oddly shaped, bright colored cakes that I often feature here sometimes it is nice to just find a lovely white wedding cake.
This four tier cake is simple and elegant and practically perfect in every way. There’s nothing boring about it either. The tiers are are iced with traditional butter cream icing.
But instead of leaving them plain the icing is decorated with Swiss dots and diamonds that were piped onto the icing – giving it just the right amount of elegance and pop!
To add even more to the cake – without going overboard – fresh flowers are used to adorn the cake. This is a fun idea because you can use any flower you like. Smaller buds would be ideal for the cake but larger blooms would work for the cake topper.
And, a traditional white cake is perfect in any season.

White Wedding Cake with Fresh Flowers
Despite the cooler-than-normal temperatures that won’t let go, it is officially spring! And that means fresh flowers are on my mind, especially when it comes to wedding cakes.
I love seeing wedding cakes with fresh flowers – they give the cake a nice pop of color while keeping things elegant and classy. Plus, it’s a good way to incorporate your bouquet flowers into the reception.
Now while you might not be carrying mums in your bouquet, I’m still a fan of this springy white wedding cake. Read More
One-tier Chocolate Wedding Cake
You ever have one of those days when you are craving chocolate?
Happens to me every day and today I decided to do something about it – I found the perfect one-tier chocolate wedding cake just for you!
I love the idea of serving a wedding cake iced with decadent chocolate icing. Why? Because your guests won’t be expecting it. They’ll be waiting for a cake with white icing and some pretty embellishments.
But chocolate cake? That’ll keep your guests talking about your wedding for a very long time!
And this one-tier cake is so pretty! The chocolate icing looks like roses and the gold and silver hearts as cake toppers adds that perfect amount of whimsy to the cake.
Of course, it is just a one-tier cake so it might be enough for you and your new spouse. I think this cake would be ideal as the cake you cut and then you could serve a bigger wedding cake (or even cupcakes!) to your guests.
You can find this cake here. It was created by Tealicious House.
White Wedding Cake with Flowers
Since a good portion of the country is buried in white fluffy snow, it seemed appropriate to focus on an all-white wedding cake today.
Granted this cake is way prettier than any pile of snow – and it won’t make your toes cold either!
You know I’m a sucker for traditional all-white wedding cakes – call my old fashioned but I like traditional cakes. Sure a pop of color or a whimsical cake is good every now and then, but I like white cakes. Read More
White Wedding Cake with Orchids
As I look outside the window today it’s a sea of white. A fresh layer of snow covers the ground which (of course) made me start thinking about the traditional all white wedding cake.
I do love all the non-traditional wedding cakes I feature here – the bright colored cakes, the black fondant cakes, the whimsical cakes. But in the end, nothing beats that all-white wedding cake in all its elegance and charm. Read More

Baby it’s cold outside!
So, let’s dream about a destination wedding in a warm, tropical, and beach-y location. And at this wedding your theme is seashells.
Lots and lots of seashells.
And this gorgeous one-tier cake is your beach-inspired, seashell-topped wedding cake.
I love this cake. Maybe it’s because I love the beach and collecting shells. Or maybe it’s because it reminds me of summer. Either way, I think this would be a lovely cake at your beach wedding. Read More

Wedding Cake with Apples and Figs
If there is one fruit that symbolizes fall it’s the apple.
Living in the Midwest, no fall season is complete without a visit to the apple orchard where you buy a bushel of apples, some apple cider, and maybe an apple pie or two.
And so when I found this wedding cake that uses apples as a decoration I just had to share it!
This is the perfect fall cake with the apples, figs, dark berries, and succulents as the only decorations. Read More
